Van Dyke Cousin Fun

Summer fun with the Van Dyke cousins. Lauren hair looks really spikey in this picture. I am not sure why other than the fact that she likes to run around with her crazy boy cousins. Everyone loves playing with the swords.

Luke was obsessed over this pretend lawn trimmer it lights up and makes noise when you pushed the button. It was hilarious watching him for hours playing with this thing.

The TV was on ground which made it very easy for Luke to pretend to play video games. He was in heaven. Lexee is such a great baby sister.

Every year we take this picture with the kids in the hammock. This year wasn't a great picture but we will always have fond memories of playing it and trying to get as many kids in as possible.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Van Dyke for the fun time at your house. We always know that we will have a good time.

Camping

My three boys. We had a great time camping. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Whitby for the fun time. We went camping at the Meadows campsite.

Pitching the tent is always fun. Grandpa Whitby helping out.

Johnathan wanted to wear Uncle Brandon's hat.

Grandma Whitby making sure that the kids don't get too close too the fire.

My kids and Cousin Alex trying to be aliens. They have lasso golf balls on their heads. Silly kiddos.

Sweets Candy Co.

We visited Utah in July. While we where there my family made a trip to Sweets Candy Co. in Salt Lake City. It was so much fun and I would recommend going if you want something fun to do that the whole family will like. The funniest thing about this tour is the hair nets they have you wear. They even had one for my sister tiny little baby. We sure did laugh at how funny we all looked.

We really were kids in a candy store. They had all kinds of samples to try and every time I would look over my kids would have their mouths full of candy. My kids favorite candy is the orange sticks. So chewy and chocolaty.

My sister Shandra and her kids.

My Dad and Mom.

My sister Melissa and her boys. I had so much fun spending time with my family and buying lots of chocolate covered cinnamon bears, taffy and orange sticks. We loved the Sweets Candy Co.

Swimming Lessons

Here is Johnathan with the orange goggles he loves to wear. He was also the loudest. Yelling and screaming and having a fun time. He did very well with his swimming too.

Lauren was much more reserved but I was very excited to get her at least comfortable wearing a life jacket.

Tinkle Toes

Luke loves putting other people shoes on. Especailly his big sister's sparkly church shoes and walk around the house. I am sure he will hate me one day for letting him wear girl shoes and take a picture of him. For now it is still cute.

Goggles

My two older kids took swimming lessons for the first time this summer. They have been learning how to blow bubbles in the water. Johnathan has already mastered this task and is teaching the others how to do it in the bath tub. All Luke could figure out was how to drink the water. It sure did make a cute picture.

4th of July

We went to Lubbock's parade. We had a great spot in some shade and at the first of the parade route so the kids got lots of candy.

I love this picture with the flags.

Luke is trying to pick up his flag that dropped. Of course he had a cookie in his other hand.

Fireworks at the Wolfforth park. Luke wasn't even scared. He got a little tired at the end. Tyler and Chelsea where able to come too.

We met some of our friends there. The kids had a great time and went to bed way too late. I am so happy and grateful for the men and women who defend this beautiful country and put their lives in harms way so we can enjoy our freedom. Happy 4th of July. I hope everyone had a happy and safe day. We missed everyone at the Farr West Freedom Festival. Maybe next year.
